🔧 Common Issues​

Bot Not Responding​

Symptoms: Danbot doesn't reply to messages

Solutions:

  1. Check bot has proper admin permissions
  2. Verify you're using trigger words (who, what, when, where, why, how, hey, dan)
  3. Try /help to test basic functionality
  4. Check if topic is in silent mode (/listmodes)

Commands Not Working​

Symptoms: Commands return errors or no response

Solutions:

  1. Verify you have admin permissions (for admin commands)
  2. Check command syntax
  3. Ensure bot has necessary permissions
  4. Try commands in private chat first

Scam Detection Issues​

Symptoms: False positives or missed scams

Solutions:

  1. Adjust sensitivity with /scam warn or /scam mute
  2. Monitor detection patterns
  3. Report false positives to support
  4. Fine-tune based on community needs

Knowledge Base Problems​

Symptoms: Poor answers or no responses in support mode

Solutions:

  1. Verify documents uploaded correctly with /loadkb
  2. Check topic is set to support mode (/mode support)
  3. Ensure questions relate to uploaded content
  4. Try rephrasing questions

❓ Frequently Asked Questions​

Why does my vote count for more/less than someone else's? Votes are weighted by each voter's Voting Power (1–10), which reflects their activity and contribution across the Danbot network. More active, more connected members carry more weight.

I voted but the card didn't update immediately. Is that normal? Yes. The vote card refreshes after your vote is processed, which can take a few seconds. The total updates in real-time once the processing is complete.

My username changed. Will my history still be tracked? Yes. All tracking is linked to your permanent Telegram user ID, not your username. Your score, rank, and vote history are unaffected by username or display name changes.

I'm not appearing on the leaderboard. Why? The leaderboard requires current_active_groups > 0. If you've left all Danbot groups, you won't appear. Also, check if your activity has decayed—inactivity significantly reduces your score.

How do I join more Danbot groups? Check the Top Groups leaderboard in Danbot HQ for public groups you can join. You can also use invitation links shared by other members.
