Getting Started with Danbot

Welcome to Danbot! This guide will help you get started with using Danbot in your crypto community.

🎯 What is Danbot?​

Danbot is an AI-powered bot designed specifically for crypto communities. It provides:

  • Intelligent conversations powered by GPT
  • Real-time scam detection to protect your community
  • Crypto tracking for Solana tokens
  • NFT creation with custom styles
  • Community management tools

📱 Adding Danbot to Your Group​

Telegram​

  1. Open Telegram and search for @DBTC_Dan_bot
  2. Start a chat with the bot
  3. Add the bot to your group chat
  4. Make sure the bot has admin permissions for full functionality

Discord​

🗣️ First Interactions​

Once Danbot joins your group, try these commands:

Basic Commands​

  • /help - Show all available commands
  • /id - Get chat and thread IDs
  • /coininfo - Get information about your tracked coin

Trigger Words​

Danbot responds to messages containing these words:

  • who, what, when, where, why, how
  • hey, dan
  • Direct replies to Danbot's messages

🔧 Initial Setup​

1. Set Your Preferred Coin​

/setcoin So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112

This sets SOL as your tracked token. Replace with any Solana mint address.

2. Check Current Coin​

/mycoin

Shows which coin your group is currently tracking.

3. Get Coin Information​

/coininfo

Displays detailed price and market data for your tracked coin.

💬 Chat with Danbot​

Danbot is designed to be conversational! Try:

  • "Hey Dan, what's the market looking like?"
  • "How do I protect my wallet?"
  • "What are the latest crypto trends?"
  • Reply to any of Danbot's messages

🛡️ Scam Protection​

Danbot automatically monitors for scam messages. Admins can configure the response:

  • /scam - Check current scam detection mode
  • /scam mute - Silent detection (admins only)
  • /scam warn - Warn about scammers
  • /scam ban - Automatically ban detected scammers

🎭 Topic Modes (Supergroups Only)​

In Telegram supergroups with topics, you can set different bot behaviors:

  • /mode chat - Normal chatty mode (default)
  • /mode welcome - Focus on welcoming new members
  • /mode silent - Don't respond in this topic
  • /mode support - Answer questions from knowledge base

🏠 Join the Community​

❓ Common Issues​

Danbot isn't responding?

  • Make sure it has proper permissions
  • Check if you're using trigger words
  • Try /help to test basic functionality

Can't set coin?

  • Only group admins can use /setcoin
  • Make sure you're using a valid Solana mint address

Scam detection too sensitive?

  • Admins can adjust with /scam mute or /scam warn
