The Voting System

Danbot runs a network-wide Trending Projects voting leaderboard. Every Danbot-enabled group with voting active competes for weekly ranking, visibility, and potential rewards.

How Voting Works

  • Daily Vote: Each user can cast one vote per day per group.
  • Vote Card: Each group has a pinned Vote Card showing their current rank and weekly vote total.
  • Weighted Votes: Unlike a simple 1-person-1-vote system, Danbot uses Voting Power (weighted 1–10) to determine the impact of each vote.
  • Weekly Reset: Rankings reset every Sunday night at 23:59 UTC.
  • Rewards: Top-ranked projects each week receive network benefits, such as ad credits across the Danbot ecosystem.

Casting Your Vote

  1. Locate the pinned Vote Card in your group.
  2. Tap the Vote Now button.
  3. Your vote is instantly processed and the card updates to reflect the new total.

Your Voting Power

Your Voting Power (a score from 1 to 10) determines how much your vote "counts." This score is calculated from your overall activity and contribution across the entire Danbot network.

Score Components

SignalContribution
Bot Commands+20% per unique command used (up to a cap)
AI Engagement+15% for each time you trigger a Danbot AI response
Admin Roles+50% per group where you hold an admin role (up to 6 groups)
Network Presence+10% for each active Danbot group you are a member of
Loyalty+10% for each month you've been active in the network
Expansion+50 permanent base points for adding Danbot to a new group

Activity Decay

To keep the leaderboard fair and reflect current community sentiment, your score is subject to decay:

  • 7 Days Inactive: Your score begins to reduce if you haven't interacted with Danbot in over a week.
  • 35+ Days Inactive: Your score reaches a "floor" of 10% of its full potential.
  • Recovery: Simply resume activity (chatting, using commands) to restore your score.

Checking and Improving Your Power

Tap My Voting Power on any pinned vote card to see your current weight and rank in a private popup. For a full breakdown, visit your private Danbot menu → Manage My AccountMy Voting Power.

Tips for Improving Rank

  1. Add Danbot to a new group: This is the single largest permanent boost.
  2. Engage with the AI: Don't just use commands; ask questions and talk to Danbot.
  3. Be a leader: Admin roles in active groups significantly boost your influence.
  4. Consistency: Use the bot regularly to avoid the activity decay.
