Leaderboard Mechanics
Danbot uses sophisticated formulas to rank groups and projects fairly. Understanding these mechanics helps you optimize your community's performance.
🏆 Top Groups Leaderboard
The Top Groups leaderboard ranks communities based on a composite activity score, updated every 72 hours.
The Scoring Formula
score = LOG(messages_7d + 1)
× (0.5 + peak_activity_score × 0.5) — Consistency Multiplier
× (1.1 if /setcoin, 0.9 if not) — Coin Association Bonus
+ LOG(group_size + 1) × 0.3 — Reach Bonus
Key Factors:
- Logarithmic Activity: Raw message volume has diminishing returns; consistent activity is better than a single massive burst.
- Consistency Multiplier: Groups that maintain steady activity throughout the week score significantly higher than those with "peak and valley" patterns.
- Setcoin Bonus: Simply configuring your token with
/setcoinprovides a permanent 10% boost to your score. - Reach Bonus: While engagement is prioritized, total member count provides a slight secondary boost.
✨ Rising Stars
The Rising Stars leaderboard highlights communities with the strongest recent growth momentum.
- Focus: Specifically designed for smaller, emerging groups (typically 100–500 members).
- The Curve: Uses a Gaussian curve that rewards groups in the "sweet spot" of active growth while penalizing extremely large, established groups.
- Update Cycle: Published every 72 hours to Danbot HQ.
🔥 Trending Projects
The Trending Projects leaderboard ranks projects purely by community support.
- Ranking Factor: Total Weighted Votes received during the week.
- Weighting: Votes are weighted (1–10) based on the individual voter's network activity and loyalty.
- Reset: Resets every Sunday night at 23:59 UTC.
