Social Links Guide

This guide covers setting up and managing social and project links in your Danbot group, giving members one central place to find your official Twitter, Telegram, Discord, website, and other links.

🔗 Set Up Social Links — Group Config App​

The easiest way to manage your links is through the Group Config app's Socials tab.

To open it:

  1. Open a private chat with Danbot.
  2. Enter /start if this is your first time using the menu.
  3. Tap Menu → ⚙️ Groups.
  4. If you're an admin in more than one group, pick the right one from the dropdown at the top.
  5. Tap the Socials tab.

Each link appears as a card showing its name and URL:

  • Add a link — Tap "+ Add Social Link". Enter a display name (max 50 characters) and the full URL, then confirm.
  • Edit a link — Tap the Edit button on any card. You can change the URL; the name stays fixed. To rename a link, delete it and add it again with a new name.
  • Delete a link — Tap the Delete button on any card to remove it.

Import from DexScreener​

If your group has a coin/mint address configured on the Profile tab, a 🔄 Get from Dex button appears. Tapping it:

  1. Fetches your token's social links from DexScreener (website, Twitter/X, Telegram, Discord, Facebook — whichever are available).
  2. Shows them as a checklist with editable display names.
  3. Lets you pick which ones to import.
  4. Imports only after you confirm — nothing is saved automatically.

This is a quick way to populate your links if your project is already listed on DexScreener.

🛠️ Set Up Social Links — Slash Commands​

Everything in the Group Config app has a slash-command equivalent. Changes made one way show up instantly the other way.

/socials list                       — Show all configured links
/socials add "Name" https://url     — Add or update a link (same name = update the URL)
/socials remove "Name"              — Remove a specific link

📱 How Members Access Social Links​

Members don't need to remember commands. Any member can type a bare trigger word in the group chat to get an interactive button menu of all configured links:

Recognized trigger words: socials, web, website, tiktok, insta, instagram, dex, dexscreener, tg, telegram, x, twitter, facebook, fb, meme, memes, discord

When a member types any of these words, Danbot shows a button menu linking to each of your configured socials. If no links are configured yet, nothing is displayed.
